Divertido musical romántico, propio de la época dorada de los musicales de Hollywood. Cuando un musical de Broadway se dedica a ridiculizar a su familia, Mimi planeará su venganza. Para ello, planeará seducir a la estrella del musical, pero surgirán complicaciones.

Agradable, con números musicales de altura y un optimismo llamativo, el film está protagonizado por la gran estrella del género, Dick Powell. Le acompaña la rubia Alice Faye
